For a Phoenix to rise from the ash it must first burn. In the GOP there has been a long standing struggle for the party mantle. My father told me what that meant in the era of Barry Goldwater. I saw it for myself in through the leadership of Reagan. Now we are at a crossroads of ill proportion. Most of us voted for Goerge W. Bush even though we saw his platform as too far left. Those same voters put him over the top in the primary beating John McCain. Now I don't care what kind of rain dance the talkers do from now until November we Conservatives will not cross over to the Republican Party. It is one thing to vote for a man of principal with some disagreable points of view. It is however entirely a different matter to vote for one who makes a living throwing Conservatives under the bus of Socialism for his own political gains. He is not alone in this others have seen and have followed his ways. Look no further than the seat Dennis Hastert held in Illinois. Then step back to Reagans' lanslide re-election campaign of 84'. Hastert ran to the aide of William Jefferson as justice stood perced on his doorstep. He proved to the American people that the United States Congress is unaccountable to justice as it applies to the adverage citizen of this country. Reagan was not just a great communicator he was a leader whose vision was one he shared with enthusiasm. He taught a generation that good morals, sound judgements, and a higher calling exist is every American. He inspired the entire world to greatness. So now he is gone and every so called Conservative wants his postumous blessing as a visionary of Conservative thought. The problem with that lies in the ability to champion the core issues that UNTIE this nation. Reagan fought the Cold War head on, no regrets. NO FEAR!!! He faced feirce opposition even with in his own ranks. He didn't answer the opposition with CONSENSUS!!! He fought the fire with GASOLINE!!! Instead of crossing the isle to garner support he took a mandate of the people. He look America dead in the face and told us how it would be and what he could do to change it. This cycle the talkers tried desperatly to prop Mitt Romney up as being this sort of man. What a joke, the man has never done a single Conservative thing in his life as a politician yet they claim him as a true Conservative. They labeled him the LDS candidate in much the same manner the DNC has tagged Obama as the Black candidate. Questions about eithers core beliefs and past principals is met with a charge of bigotry.
So what does it take for a rise from the ash of past foleys in the GOP? Last time it took a "Contract With America" the time before it took Jimmy Carter. This time it may just take Barrack Huesein Obama.
The answer to all this is so simple. We have a convention in this party for a reason. The only way to take control of this calamity that is the product of a liberal infection in our party is this. Throw McCain right under the Straight EIBS Express. Then nominate a candidate who can unite not just the GOP voters but the entire nation.
1) Amercians overwhelmingly agree that we need to stop illegal immagration NOW!!!
2) We also know that we would have a better economy if we had back the manufacturing jobs we have shipped over seas.
3) Although Democrat leaders think we need to spend $5/gallon for gas most Americans would like to see us paying around $1/gallon.
4) Last but not least love our country and we are sick and tired of the back stabbing BS we hear from Washington about something these clowns never intend to solve.
If we put a man at the head of our party who talked only about those issues the way liberals go on and on and on we would crush them in November. While they carp about healthcare, we can link that to job loss. When they talk about breaking up families by deporting illegals we can talk about families of American citizen who suffer because their wages have been cut, their crimes rate that sky rocket, and overstretched communtiy infrastructure. They are the party of gay marriage, the ones who want to teach elementary children about drugs and sex. Global warming is only on the map because we let them frame the debate. Instead of getting out in front of the issue we have has been politicians like Gingrich trying liken us to it. We need leadership not a sinking ship for the sake of a ship.
We need to tell Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingraham, Prager, Savage, Hewitt, Medved, Gallager, Coulter, and all the rest that while we agree with much of what they say they need to actually LEAD, FOLLOW OR GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!!!
This back seat driving waterboy crap is not the sign of leadership or party loyalty is is a sham of the highest order to believe that any of these people care about the daily dealings of this party when they are too afraid to run for office is a crock.
