This post is dedicated to all the Matt Lewis type weak in the knee 'Rubber Chicken Republicans' who think Norm Coleman should concede his seat based on a fraudulent recount.
Do any of you really remeber Ronald Reagan, our last great conservative mind? Because most of you that throw his name around only do so to get attention, not actually knowing what he was all about. The reason I say this is that most people who drop his name think compare him to Libs like Mitt Romney. That would be like comparing Charlie Manson to the Pope. Reagan never said anything misrepresented his record or something he didn't believe in to get elected. Yet if you listen to the so called 'new media' you would think we just don't get it. The talkers want you and I to believe we need a 'Reagan Conservative', and we do. But what they don't tell you, is that any politician with a (R) behind his/her name gets their support regaurdless of their actions.
The GOP knows this and has convinced itself that you will follow the 'Pied Yappers' off the cliff like good little lemmings. Some talk about changing the minds of those in power to more Conservative views. What would give any elected Republican a reason to do that? McCain proved that theory, didn't he? If most of your base is going to turn out despite hating you the only thing left to campaign for is the other side of the isle. But these yappers keep up with their same play book regurgetating what the see in the actual media that goes out and misreports the news. They think by debunking their political and social ideology that somehow their 'catcalls' are going to make a significant difference.
Who they need to go after is CPAC and the GOP itself who have allowed and supported all the non-Conservative Republicans who have driven our party into the ground by taking Liberal positions. Their short sighted mismanagement of our party has allowed Liberals to project their negaitves on us. What Ronald Reagan taught us is not how to get the majority to set the agenda. But rather how irrelavent the majority was in the face of common sense and practical solutions. He didn't lead us across the isle he led those who crossed the isle to the door. He did so with a smile and the knowledge that he had built the better mouse trap.
