Okay so I don't know about you but I want t o start a movement in this country to protect our Constitution and Bill of Rights. There is always within this system an ability to change the course and those who man the helm of our voyage of stewardship aboard American existence.
I would like to again remind you of the buildup to the 2008 campaign right before the primaries were decided and the price of gasoline had topped $4/gal on an adverage for the first time in US history. John McCain to his credit called for an immediate gas tax holiday for the summer driving season. He was joined in this by Hillary Clinton, and opposed by Barack Obama. Obama said it would only generate a savings of $30-$50 per month to the adverage person. He was concerned about the cuts in government spending that would have to take place because of the tax dollars state and federal budgets would be without. What McCain wanted was a seasonal hyatus on the tax to help stabilize the global economic structure that depends on predictable enegry cost. Every person with a job in some way has been adversely affected by energy spike in the summer of 2008. The price effect of the tax holiday would have been about $0.18/gal but many states would have been tempted to follow suit which would have doubled in some cases almost tripled the savings. The trickle down would have been worth much more because it could have stabilized the inflating cost many businesses are still passing on in anticipation of the prices rebounding this summer.
Obama now proposes in the form of a "stimulous package" a benefit of $52 a month to qualifing individuals. He also wants to fund future projects a back load of government waste that will not inspire anyone to invest capital into our market. The Democrat Party declared Bush a "lame duck" after the 2006 elections when the took control of both chambers of congress. The historic starting point for this economic spiral just about coencides with that realitization in day to day activities for most Americans.
Growing our government larger when we can't afford the one we've got never makes any economic sense. The socialists have us fighting with an arm behind our back while hopping on one leg and they when it comes to private industry. Business is always about price, quality and reliability and because of environmental intervention and lax immigration enforcement we can't compete. The lax enforcement itself has helped to stimulate industries run into the ground by regulations and taxes, but it also hurts the future of the industry as workers leave the trade for liveable wages in another.
Bush was an idot of his word when he stated these immigrants are just doing the jobs Americans won't do. Never before has a man been so out of touch with reality than the one who makes a statement so contradicted in fact. Illegal aliens are the 21st century slaves of the present here to weaken the core of this nation, our blue coller middle class tradesman. They aren't teachers, or doctors, or police officers, they aren't CPA, LPN, or PHDs.
So here is what I propose we do about this. Number one we need to boycott any and all industries who support or utilize illegal immigrant labor. The second thing we need to do is convince our congressional representative to support the formation of a commission that reviews political truth. This would become a public database for the non-partisan display of campaign pledges, voting records, bio, and other personal information that measures the record of all political candidates running for or appointed to any federal office. Oh and lastly if you feel you absolutely have to do something and you can't wait until 2010 try this. When you start getting your $13 a week stimulation and you are not sure about investing it in the stock market, and don't want to put it under a matress here is a way to save our economy and your local sporting goods store at the same time. Going to buy ammunition with your stimulous check can be like having your very own 'tea party' every Friday on the way home from work. It's so simple you don't even need a gun and the benefits are out of site. Back in 2007 the Democrats tried to ban sporting good stores from selling ammunition by classifying it as hazardous material. Which they are sure to take another crack at now that they are in power. While guns are a good investment as they really don't experiance a natural depreciation you have to go through alot of paperwork and the low range in cost would require you to save several months of your tax break to afford one unit. Besides you could sell your ammunition to a private party if it ever did get taken off of shelves and the value could rise 1000% or more.
